I've tried a few different preworkout products over the years but I always end up going back to plain citrulline malate. It doesn't give me the buzz that some preworkouts do but my workouts feel more consistent especially on longer training days I also like knowing exactly what Im taking instead of relying on a big proprietary blend. Has anyone else found it useful or do you think it's overrated?
I like it because the effect feels subtle I don't expect miracles but my training sessions seem to stay more consistent from start to finish.
Broo I switched from high stimulant pre-workouts & honestly don't miss them. Feeling focused without the crash has been a big plus.
For longer push or leg sessions I feel like I recover a little better between sets. That alone makes it worth keeping around for me.
I like that I can stack it with coffee if i want caffeine or use it by itself for evening workouts.
I still think nutrition nd sleep do most of the heavy lifting but this has been one of the few supplements I've actually kept buying.

Yea the biggest benefit for me has been consistency. Nothing dramatic actually just solid training sessions week after week.
I've found it works best when I'm already well hydrated on days I slack on water everything feels a bit off.
I appreciate that it doesn't make me feel overly stimulated I can finish my workout n still relax later in the day.
It seems most people value citrulline malate for improving the overall quality of their workouts rather than expecting instant strength gains. Like many performance supplements i t appears to work best when it's supporting an already solid training nutrition and recovery routine.
