Been seeing more lifters adding magnesium (especially glycinate) into their night routine for better sleep and recovery. Some say they’re getting deeper sleep and waking up more refreshed, others say it’s nothing crazy. Anyone here actually notice real improvements in sleep quality or recovery from it? Or is it just another overhyped supplement?
Mag glycinate actually helped me chill out at night. Not like knockout sleep, but I fall asleep quicker and don’t wake up as much. Subtle but noticeable.
Tried it for like 3 weeks… didn’t feel anything crazy tbh. Sleep was about the same. Might depend if you’re deficient or not.
Lowkey one of the few supps I keep year round. Helps with cramps too, especially after hard leg days. Sleep feels a bit deeper for sure.
Most dudes expecting it to hit like melatonin and that’s not what it does. It’s more like calming your system down so you drift off easier.
Yeah that makes sense. I’m not expecting a knockout effect, just trying to improve sleep quality a bit. If it helps me stay asleep, that’s already a win.
Stack it with good habits bro dark room, no phone, same sleep time. Magnesium alone ain’t fixing bad routines.
I noticed I wake up less during the night when I take it consistently. Took like a week to really feel it though.
Honestly feels like placebo some nights, but I still take it cause it’s cheap and no downside. Recovery been solid so I ain’t complaining.
Appreciate all the feedback. Sounds like it’s more of a long game thing + depends on the person. I’ll run it for a few weeks and see how my sleep actually feels instead of expecting instant results.
