No matter what I do, my shoulders barely grow. Tried all angles, reps, tempos. What actually built yours up?
Bro shoulders are stubborn af. What finally did it for me was just spamming lateral raises. Like… way more than you think. High reps, constant tension, basically lived in that 15–25 rep range.
Not gonna lie, I thought my shoulders sucked too until I fixed my form. Stop swinging the weight. Drop the ego, slow it down, slight lean forward and actually hit the side delts.
Yeah I might be guilty of going too heavy on laterals
Do you guys go to failure on those or keep reps in reserve?

Failure bro. Safest lift to push hard imo. I’ll do like 4–5 sets of laterals to absolute burn, then partials at the end. Shoulders finally started capping after I did that consistently.
You hitting rear delts enough? Most dudes think they are but they’re not. Reverse pec deck, face pulls, rear delt rows… that’s what gave me that 3D look.
Honestly mine didn’t grow till I started training them 2–3x a week. Shoulders recover fast. One “shoulder day” ain’t enough if you’re trying to bring them up.
Good point… I only smash them once a week rn. Might try splitting side/rear into other days.
Try this: every upper session start with 3–4 sets of lateral raises before anything else. Pre-fatigue them so they actually work during presses. Game changer for me.
Lowkey check your pressing too. If your bench/incline is all front delt + triceps, your side delts ain’t doing much. Keep shoulders healthy and focus more on isolation for growth.
