Been hearing a lot about Zone 2 for fat loss and recovery without killing gains. Curious if anyone here is actually running it and noticing real benefits or if it’s just another trend.
Zone 2 actually helped my recovery a lot. I lift 5 days a week and adding 30–40 min walks kept my legs fresher.
It’s boring but effective. I do incline treadmill while watching YouTube. Fat loss stayed steady without feeling beat up.
I was skeptical, but my conditioning improved without hurting strength. Definitely better than killing myself with HIIT year-round.
Works best if you’re already lifting hard. If training volume is low, it’s probably overkill.
Great during cuts. Keeps calories burning without messing with hunger or recovery like intense cardio does.
People overcomplicate it. It’s basically brisk walking or easy cycling where you can still talk.
Sounds like it’s legit if used smart, especially for recovery and cuts. I’ll start adding some easy sessions and see how it goes.
