We all set goals like "add 10kg to squat" or "run a sub-20 5k". But what about *mental* goals? What would a good "mental goal" for training look like?
A good one: "Don't negatively self-talk during a session for one week." Or "Stick to the recovery plan (stretch, foam roll) 100%." They're process goals that build a better mindset.
Mine was "Be present." Not think about work during my run, not think about my run during work. Just focus on the task at hand. It's harder than it sounds!
"Don't negatively self-talk" is a great one. I'm going to steal that. Thanks!
