The mindset of injury recovery - staying positive.
Just got sidelined with a minor tear. No training for 3-4 weeks. I'm already going stir-crazy and feeling low. How do you mentally cope with an injury and not lose your mind?
Re: The mindset of injury recovery - staying positive.
Ugh, rough times. Been there. You have to *reframe* it. This isn't "time off", this is "time to work on weaknesses". Focus on what you *can* do. Mobility, stability, nutrition. Attack your rehab like it's your new training plan.

What PowerLifterPro said. Become the *CEO of your recovery*. Learn everything about your injury. Control the controllables. It helps you feel less helpless.

And use the free time. Read books, study, catch up on life admin. You'll come back mentally fresher, not just physically healed.

Also, don't "catastrophize". 3-4 weeks feels like forever, but in a 10-year athletic life, it's a blip. You won't lose all your gains. You'll be back.

"Attack your rehab" and "CEO of your recovery". That's exactly what I needed to hear. Reframing it now. Thanks, team. Really.
