Post-Race Recovery: What to Do After the Finish Line
Crossing the finish line is just the beginning of recovery.
Immediate post-race recovery:
  • Refuel with carbohydrates and protein quickly.
  • Rehydrate with water and electrolytes.
  • Light active recovery (walk around).
  • Elevate legs if possible to aid blood flow.
  • Get adequate sleep in the days following.
"Celebrate the effort, then prioritize recovery."
