Tempo Runs: Improving Speed Endurance
Tempo runs are fantastic for boosting your speed endurance.
A tempo run is a sustained effort at a "comfortably hard" pace, typically lasting 20-60 minutes. It trains your body to:
  • Clear lactate more efficiently.
  • Maintain a faster pace for longer durations.
  • Improve mental toughness at higher intensities.
"The tempo run is where you learn to suffer productively."
How often do you include tempo runs?
