Coming Off and Feeling Flat How Long Did It Last?
Anyone else feel like they lost their usual gym energy after coming off? Not just strength, but that overall drive to train. Curious how other guys dealt with that phase without getting in their own heads about every little change.

Yeah, I definitely noticed the drop in gym motivation. It wasn't like I suddenly hated training, I just didn't have that same “let’s fucking go” feeling every time I walked in.

The flat feeling was probably more noticeable than the strength drop for me. Pumps weren't the same either, which messed with my head more than I expected. 😂

I tried not to judge every workout against how I felt before. Some days were solid, some were pretty meh. Keeping the routine going helped me mentally.

Sleep played a big role for me too. When my sleep was garbage, training felt ten times harder. Once I got that part more consistent, I stopped feeling quite so wrecked.

That’s pretty much what I’m dealing with. It’s not that I don’t want to train, the whole session just feels a little more “meh” than it used to. I’m trying to stop obsessing over every pound on the bar and just stay consistent while I figure out what’s going on.

Honestly, I had to lower my expectations for a while. I wasn't trying to set PRs every week anymore. Just getting a decent workout in and heading home felt like a win.

The mental side can be sneaky as hell. You look a little flatter, strength isn't quite where you want it, then your brain starts telling you that you've lost everything overnight. 😂 Usually taking a step back from the mirror helps.

For me, keeping the workouts shorter helped. I stopped trying to cram a million sets into every session and focused on getting some quality work done. Took a little pressure off and made it easier to stay consistent.

I think the biggest thing is giving yourself some patience. Bodies don't necessarily snap back on the exact timeline you see people claiming online. If the changes are persistent or you're feeling significantly off, I'd rather get proper bloodwork and talk to a qualified doctor than start guessing based on forum posts.
