Recovery Starts Before the Gym
Our bodybuilding community loves talking about training volume supplements and recovery gadgets but sleep is still one of the biggest recovery tools we have. The recent research continues to connect adequate sleep with physical recovery performance fatigue management and cognitive function in athletes. Sleep extension and naps may also help when normal nighttime sleep isn't enough i think the underrated part is consistency sleeping five hours one night and trying to make up for it with a recovery gadget isn't the same as having a solid sleep routine track it if you want but don't let the technology distract you from the basics. Good training + enough food + consistent sleep is still a hard combination to beat.✅💪🏻

I noticed this myself when I started keeping a more consistent bedtime my workouts felt better even without changing the program.
Re: Recovery Starts Before the Gym
Naps have been really useful for me on days when work cuts into my normal sleep even a short one can help me feel more switched on💤
Re: Recovery Starts Before the Gym
I used to blame poor sessions on my program when I was actually just exhausted that was a pretty obvious lesson in hindsight.
Re: Recovery Starts Before the Gym
Keeping my room dark and putting my phone away earlier made a bigger difference for me than some of the recovery gadgets I tried.
Re: Recovery Starts Before the Gym
I’ve started treating sleep like something I schedule not something I squeeze in after everything else that mindset helped a lot.
