A proper cool-down is just as important as the warm-up for recovery.
Benefits of cooling down:
  • Gradually lowers heart rate and blood pressure.
  • Helps remove metabolic byproducts (e.g., lactate).
  • Reduces muscle soreness and stiffness.
  • Promotes mental relaxation.
A light jog, walk, or gentle stretching for 5-10 minutes is usually sufficient.
