Cold plunges are legit for making you feel refreshed, but I'm not jumping into an ice bath after every chest day 😂 Sleep and eating right still come first.

I bought a massage gun last year and honestly use it more than I expected. It's great when my quads and traps feel tight after a heavy lifting session. Not magic, but definitely a useful tool in my recovery routine.

Red light therapy is everywhere lately. I'm still not convinced it's worth the money.

For me, compression boots are worth checking out if you train hard several days a week. I use them after long leg sessions, and they feel awesome when my legs are beat up. Still, getting enough sleep and keeping my training volume under control makes a bigger difference.

I'm seeing more people at my gym spending money on recovery gadgets than actually focusing on their recovery habits. I'm interested in what genuinely helps with soreness, training performance, and staying consistent without wasting money on every new fitness trend.

Active recovery is underrated. A light walk, some mobility work, and getting your steps in can do more for my routine than another expensive gadget.

I tried cold plunges for a few weeks, mostly because everyone at my gym was talking about them. The mental challenge is fun, and I feel refreshed afterward, but I wouldn't say my strength or muscle gains suddenly improved. I actually prefer keeping them away from my regular post-lifting routine since I'm focused on hypertrophy right now.

Foam rolling is still my go-to. Cheap, simple, and easy to fit into a rest day.

I think people confuse feeling better with actually recovering better. A massage gun or compression boots might help you feel less stiff, but that doesn't automatically mean your muscles are fully recovered. I'd rather track my sleep, soreness, strength, and performance before buying another gadget. Recovery needs to support the actual goal, not just look cool on Instagram.
