Managing Side Effects: Hair Loss with SARMs and What to Do

One of the most common concerns I hear is **hair loss** while on a SARM cycle. Some SARMs, like S4 (Andarine) and RAD-140 (Testolone), are known to be more androgenic and can accelerate male pattern baldness for those predisposed to it. What are your experiences with this side effect, and what protocols or supplements have you used to mitigate it? Any specific peptides that help?

I've definitely seen this with RAD-140. It's a powerful compound, but the androgenicity is a real concern for a lot of guys. I recommend using a topical anti-androgen like RU58841 or even a simple topical minoxidil. Finasteride is often used but can have its own systemic side effects, so it's a trade-off. It really comes down to genetics.

I've had clients get great results using a combination of a lower dose of the SARM (e.g., 10mg RAD-140) and adding a peptide like **TB-500** for its healing properties, which can sometimes help with scalp health and hair follicle rejuvenation. It's not a direct hair loss solution, but it can contribute to a healthier environment for hair growth. It's an indirect benefit.

I've also seen some anecdotal evidence that peptides like GHK-Cu, which is a copper peptide, can help. It's used topically and is known for its regenerative properties. While it won't block androgen receptors, it can improve scalp health and hair thickness. It's a good non-systemic option for those who want to avoid systemic drugs.

This is a critical topic. It's important to remember that SARMs that are more suppressive and androgenic, like RAD-140 and S-23, are going to have a higher chance of causing hair loss. If you're prone to it, you might be better off sticking with milder SARMs like Ostarine or LGD-4033, which have a lower risk. Always weigh the risk-reward ratio based on your personal goals and genetics.

Just to add to that, some users have reported that running a testosterone base or HCG alongside their SARM cycle can mitigate some of the hair loss, as it prevents the body from over-producing DHT in response to the suppressed testosterone. This is a more advanced protocol and requires careful management, but it's an option.
