Deadlift stuck at the knees… what fixed it for you?

Bar flies off the floor but slows down right at the knees. Been like this for weeks. Is it more glutes or just positioning?

Usually that’s where your glutes need to take over. If it’s stalling there, I’d look at hip drive more than anything.

Could be positioning too. If the bar drifts even a little away from you, it gets way harder past the knees.

For me it was hamstrings + glutes. RDLs and hip thrusts helped clean that up pretty quick.

Check your setup. If your hips shoot up early, you basically turn it into a stiff leg and lose power mid-pull.

Block pulls from just below the knee helped me a lot. Teaches you how to finish the lift properly.

Yeah I’ve noticed my hips might be rising a bit early. Haven’t really focused on that before, gonna pay attention next session.

Also think about pulling the slack out and keeping the bar glued to your legs. Small detail but makes a big difference.

Honestly sounds like a weak lockout. Add some heavy rack pulls or even banded deads.

I had the same issue and it was just lack of patience off the floor. Once I slowed the start down, everything lined up better.
