Single vs. Multi-ply Powerlifting

by PowerLifterPro » Wed Feb 19, 2025 12:00 am

Understanding the two main divisions in equipped powerlifting.
Differences between single-ply and multi-ply:
  • Single-ply: Uses gear with one layer of material, offering less support and carryover.
  • Multi-ply: Uses gear with multiple layers, providing significant support and allowing for much heavier lifts.
  • Raw (Unequipped): No supportive gear, only a belt and wraps are typically allowed.
