Best move I made was charging my phone outside the bedroom. Forced habit change, huge payoff.

Sounds like consistency matters more than perfection. Might start with just cutting scrolling instead of trying to go full no-phone.

Sleep tracking showed the biggest change for me. Less screen time = deeper sleep and fewer wake-ups. It wasn’t night and day, but consistent enough to notice in recovery.

I work late, so cutting screens entirely isn’t realistic. I compromised by dimming everything and stopping social media. Sleep isn’t perfect, but it’s better.

Blue light filters help, but they’re not magic. Still better than raw screen blasting your face at midnight.

That mental stimulation part hits. Even when I’m tired, scrolling keeps me awake way longer than I expect.

For me it’s not just blue light, it’s mental stimulation. Doom-scrolling keeps my brain in “on” mode. Nights I shut screens off earlier, recovery and next-day workouts feel better.

I was skeptical, but scrolling in bed definitely messes with my sleep. Switched to reading or just putting the phone down and my sleep quality improved within a week.

Yeah, I noticed a difference pretty fast. When I cut phone time late, I fall asleep quicker instead of laying there wired.

Everyone says ditch screens before bed. Has anyone here actually seen better sleep and recovery from cutting late-night phone time?
