A belt is not a crutch! It's a tool. It doesn't *replace* your core. It gives your core something to *brace against*. This increases intra-abdominal pressure (IAP) and makes your spine safer.
Rule of thumb: Use it on your heaviest sets (e.g., 85%+ of your 1RM). Don't use it for warm-ups.
